I got a late start on writing, restricting my storytelling to letters back home to loved ones and family while staying busy with my own family, church work, and moving - an endeavor we made over thirty-two times. Yes, you read that right. Thirty-two times. Sometimes it was to another state, and sometimes overseas. Each move involved a lot of packing and un-packing; time spent in learning how to navigate in new towns and new countries around the world; and figuring out how to communicate when you didn't speak the language. It was a hectic time, but the letters and emails were still going out - the stories of our lives captured in little mini books - full of adventure and thrills.
I loved recounting our journey; weaving tales and telling stories. I wanted to do more, but there just wasn't time to sit down and write a book... until one day CHINA happened. We moved to a country where I was allowed to do nothing except learn to play Mah-jong - which by the way, is really fun. But you can't play Mah-jong all day and, no longer needing to worry about school activities; being restricted to just attending church on Sundays (with the government watching your every move) and not being allowed to work I found myself with something I hadn't had before. TIME. So the writing began and once I got started, there was no stopping.
Now I write books and I have to warn you, I'm not fast at pumping them out. I do a lot of research; make sure the characters are well-developed; lay a good foundation; and then, take you on a adventure that hopefully you'll love. You may have to wait a while for the next installment, but rest assured I'm typing away, hoping to give you the same experience I had sitting on my grandfather's knee. I don't know if I'll succeed, but I promise you, I'll give it my best try..
Writing the books is only half the battle, though. There's marketing; web design; newsletters; book covers; editing; and a plethora of other things involved. Fortunately, I have two helpers and I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to them as you'll hear about them on my weekly facebook posts and in the newsletters as well. One of them even has his own section in the newsletter. I won't name names, but it's the one with all the hair... or should I say fur?

You have Phil to thank for the books. He listens attentively to plot lines and does the first read-throughs of the rough drafts and even models for me.
He recently retired and has become my marketing guru - designing ads, arranging promotions and the like. Currently, he's working on the audiobooks as well - making sure the sound quality is top-notch before it goes public. In his spare time (wait - what's that?) he's finishing building our house, tending to blackberries, and feeding the hummingbirds. What a guy!
And then there's Clancy...
Yes, he really is that cute. That's a picture of him as a puppy. He's older and a little bigger now, but he still thinks he's a tremendous help. About My Books
I write thrillers and mysteries. The current series feature a psychic twist, but I try to keep the books rooted in reality. If you're looking for vampires, witches, demons or magic, you won't find them here. Just normal everyday people who happen to have an enhanced ability. How they handle that ability while living their lives is the fun part and adds a whole new dimension to the storyline.
I keep the books clean, as in no sex and no swearing, but there is plenty of romance, relationships, and loads of suspense and adventure. If that's what you're looking for, you've come to the right place. Enjoy.
